Front Runner GOP Candidate Kendall Qualls Responds to Governor Walz’s Last State of the State Address
MINNEAPOLIS – Tonight, Governor Walz discussed “moving forward” in his State of the State Address to Minnesotans. Calling this address his last, Republican gubernatorial candidate Kendall Qualls issued a statement calling on Minnesotans to elect a Governor in November who understands their issues and how to be accountable to the people.
Statement from Kendall Qualls:
“Unfortunately, tonight’s State of the State speech clearly demonstrated that, just like during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, our weak Governor is out of touch with the priorities of Minnesotans. He discussed “moving forward,” but focused on the Covid-19 pandemic and more government spending when polls show that rising consumer prices and a surge in violent crime is top of the list for families.
This will be his last State of the State Address considering his desire to spend even more of taxpayer’s money coupled with Minnesota ranking 5th in the nation for highest tax burden. This should sound the alarm for every person already struggling to afford necessities with today’s economy. I’m asking Minnesotans to hang in there and head to the polls in November. Together, we’re going to put an end to Tim Walz’s spending spree and penchant for mandates, so we can provide some real economic relief and safer communities for Minnesotans.”
