In Case You Missed It: Virtual Town Hall Hosted by Kendall Qualls and Michele Tafoya
MINNEAPOLIS – Last night Republican gubernatorial candidate Kendall Qualls headlined a Virtual Town Hall alongside campaign co-chairwoman Michele Tafoya. Qualls offered an internal campaign update to those in attendance before answering questions. The pair also discussed current events in Minnesota, Governor Walz’s lack of leadership, and what Minnesotans can expect from a Qualls administration.
On Minnesota having one of the highest tax burdens:
“Minnesotans have been leaving the state they love and helped build in record numbers. Last year was the highest number of Minnesotans leaving the state in 30 years. Now is not the time to turn to career politicians to fix our tax code and tinker around the edges. We need a leader from the private sector with private sector solutions, and I bring that to the table.”
Question on the second amendment:
“We have the second amendment for a reason, and it’s not to be fooled with. Even now when you think about all of the violence we have across our country, the idea that anyone would want to bring up restrictions on the second amendment should be brought down immediately.”
Regarding government overreach:
“The fact that we have a definition for government overreach is absurd. This is why I’m getting involved because we need someone from the outside,” said Qualls. “We’re coming in to do transformative leadership changes. We’ve moved so beyond the medical science and we’ve been dealing with the political science for two years now.”
