Kendall Qualls In the News with KAAL’s Betsy Singer
MINNEAPOLIS – Yesterday, Republican gubernatorial candidate and former businessman Kendall Qualls joined KAAL’s Betsy Singer in Rochester to discuss his candidacy and campaign momentum as he fights to be the next Governor of Minnesota. The pair spoke about returning to an educational foundation, school choice, improving crime throughout the state, the budget surplus, lowering taxes, and more.
“My administration will promote school choice, so parents can select the best option for their kids, and the dollars then can go with those students to whatever school they want.”
“Let’s get back to the basics. The purpose is really the foundational skills that students need to prepare for their future, whatever that may be for them. … Even in our best school districts, our standardized test scores are stagnant or declining, and the time we spend on social justice issues distracts from the primary mission.”
“There’s two choices, whether you want insiders or outsiders. Of those outsiders, I believe I have the most experience and connections with Minnesotans. I’m a guy who is going to stand up for the American dream because I lived it.”
