Kendall Qualls Blames Weak Leadership for Upheaval Abroad and at Home
MINNEAPOLIS – Yesterday, after weeks of troops amassing close to the Ukrainian border and calls from the U.S. that there would be possible sanctions, Russian President Putin ordered military action. Blaming the escalation for problems stemming from weak leadership on both domestic soil and abroad, Republican gubernatorial candidate Kendall Qualls published a video calling for strong leaders to be elected to send a message.
“President Biden and our weak Governor Walz have allowed criminals to run the streets and foreign nations to bully their sovereign neighbors. The buck stops with real leaders who command authority both with their rhetoric and through decisive actions. I’m running for Governor to send a message that the weakness currently perceived will not continue. Americans from all across the nation will look at Minnesota as an example of how strong leadership can change the narrative.”
“We Need Strong Leaders” Transcript
Hi I’m Kendall Qualls, I served for 5 years as an artillery officer in the United States Army stateside and overseas.
And right now, a 4th generation member of our family, my middle son, is serving in uniform for our country.
I know what it’s like when soldiers and family members are deployed at the orders of the president, and, what’s going on right now with Ukraine and Russia, as we begin to see this build up, is not new.
And it pains me to say this, foreign, ruthless leaders, when they perceive weakness in our presidency, they pounce aggressively on their neighbors to expand their territory or other aggressive measures.
You know that old adage peace through strength has served us well as a country under President Reagan, and yes, under President Trump.
We have the same problem here in our state with perceived weakness.
That is why criminals run freely targeting women and children, terrorizing our neighborhoods and our communities.
We are a much better country, a much better state, than the leaders who serve us now.
That’s why I’m running for Governor. We need strong leaders more than ever.
