Kendall Qualls Criticizes President for Avoiding Minnesota Visit
MINNEAPOLIS – Republican gubernatorial candidate Kendall Qualls issued the following statement regarding First Lady Jill Biden’s Minnesota visit to discuss American Rescue Plan funding alongside Governor Walz and Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan.
“There’s no doubt this visit is a blatant sham of accountability by the White House, but a visit by Jill Biden won’t win this president any favors or future elections for that matter. In combination with his plummeting approval ratings and prominent Democrats avoiding public appearances with our country’s leader, President Biden is refusing to face the music and see firsthand the harm his wasteful spending has caused Minnesota.
Meanwhile our weak governor refuses to hold the president accountable for soaring gas and food prices, rampant crime levels perpetuated by encouraging inadequate sentencing guidelines, and a fentanyl crisis that continues to affect Americans from every socioeconomic level. The people of Minnesota deserve accountability and being a weak governor is no excuse, it’s time to fire Walz and elect an outsider to restore what this administration has ruined.”
