Kendall Qualls Denounces Democrats’ Weak on Crime Policies in Walz’s Minnesota
MINNEAPOLIS – After two years of weak on crime policies enacted by Minnesota Democrats, Minnesotans have been living under increased crime and understaffed police departments. Reading the news this morning, a 35-year old woman was found stabbed to death in Champlin only hours after two shootings occurred within 10 minutes of one another in Minneapolis. Emphasizing that Walz’s anti-safety, anti-law enforcement policies have created this environment and must be reversed, Republican gubernatorial candidate Kendall Qualls issued the following statement denouncing Democrats’ weak public safety policies.
Statement from Kendall Qualls:
“Today’s crime headlines showcase the dangerous reality of living in Walz’s Minnesota. These victims deserved better, but unfortunately our current administration favors criminals over taxpaying citizens who play by the rules. I grew up living like this, and the stark reality is mothers shouldn’t have to worry that it might be the last time they hug their kids goodbye nor should grandmothers constantly look over their shoulder afraid of being robbed for their pocket book. Unlike what Tim Walz and the rest of the DFL would like Minnesotans to believe, public safety is a quality of life issue, not a partisan one. That is why a vote for Kendall Qualls is a vote to take back our streets and hold criminals accountable for their actions. When I’m governor families will once again feel safe and that is a promise I intend to keep.”
