Kendall Qualls Statement, Walz Needs to Lead on Crime
MINNEAPOLIS – Last night a man was killed in a drive by shooting, marking the 6th Minneapolis homicide in a week. Coupled with an armed carjacking that occurred earlier this morning, Republican gubernatorial candidate Kendall Qualls issued the following statement saying Walz needs to show leadership regarding the violent crime wave.
Statement from Kendall Qualls:
“I’m asking our current Governor to show some initiative when it comes to curtailing the spike in violent crime. Instead of attending news press conferences, Tim Walz should be sending a message to criminals that this behavior will no longer be tolerated as the status quo.
Minnesota residents deserve a Governor who is tough on crime, but Walz and his radical allies simply give everyone a get out of jail free card. There is simply no accountability from Walz and the longer he wastes time at photo ops, the more innocent victims become a statistic. The Qualls administration will put an end to the revolving door for criminals and ensure that our streets become safer for those Minnesotans who make it a point to actually follow the law.”
