Kendall Qualls Statement: Where is Walz on the DFL Swamp?
MINNEAPOLIS – Before the holiday weekend, new details emerged regarding a Farmfest rollover crash that involved two high ranking DFL members and a cold alcoholic beverage found at the scene. Republican gubernatorial candidate Kendall Qualls issued a statement declaring it’s time for new leadership to clean up the swamp and start to deliver for Minnesotans.
Statement from Kendall Qualls:
“The DFL party continues to prove they think they’re above the law. Why else would DFL chairman Ken Martin arrive at the scene in a DFL emblazoned van and explicitly warn state troopers that the two women involved were “elected officials”? The same can be said about Minneapolis Mayor Frey having a senior aide involved in the Feeding Our Future scandal, which amounted to a quarter of a billion federal dollars being misappropriated. Even worse, the Minnesota Department of Education was tasked with overseeing the distribution of that federal money, but instead of sending inspectors to verify children were being fed at sites, it was spent on expensive cars, property and high-end travel.
Then to top it all off, the DFL allowed felons and non-citizens to Caucus with them. They continue to prove that our elections process means nothing and that they will do whatever it takes to stay in positions of power despite nothing changing for the residents whose interests they’re elected to represent. I’m calling on Minnesotans to vote Walz out, so that we can finally clean up the DFL swamp once and for all. Minnesotans deserve a government that works for them, not just the politicians indebted to special interest groups.”
