Outsider Conservative Candidate for Governor Kendall Qualls Carries Momentum Going Into GOP Convention Weekend
MINNEAPOLIS – Four and a half months ago, veteran and former business executive Kendall Qualls announced he would enter the crowded field vying to take on Tim Walz. In the run up to the GOP convention, he has emerged as a formidable candidate against seasoned politicians and candidates who have been in the race for well over a year. After winning the latest straw poll, GOP gubernatorial candidate Kendall Qualls issued the following statement about his campaign’s momentum.
Statement from Kendall Qualls:
“Heading into Convention weekend, I can attest people are tired of hearing the same message from politicians only for them to turn around and do the exact opposite. My record of winning straw polls in this state says it all. Desperate Minnesotans are looking for an outsider candidate who they can trust to come in and clean up all of the issues plaguing our state.
In just four short months I have proven I have what it takes to go on and successfully challenge Tim Walz. From raising the most money in quarter one to winning four straw polls, I know that momentum is on our side and in a few days time I will be the endorsed candidate fighting to lower taxes, restore public safety, eliminate CRT, and improve test scores and college readiness for our kids. There’s no doubt our momentum is the realization that electing the right messenger with the right message will help flip Minnesota and finally give Republicans in this state a much needed win. I’m honored to be the common-sense candidate and I look forward to continuing this momentum all the way into November.”
